Help Me Out!!!
I’m often asked why I am not a multi-millionaire pop star and of course there are many reasons why. Actually I’m never asked why I’m not a muti-millionaire pop star but I am sometimes asked why I’m not heard on the radio or why I’m not playing in a certain town or whatever. Now the answer might well be that my songs aren’t good enough and I’m crap at performing but If I accept that as an answer I should crawl under the nearest stone.
Therefore, I have to conclude that a lack of resources is the problem, or at least has some bearing on it. This is a shoestring operation as the saying goes.Therefore I’m appealing for you to help me out.
If you know of a venue where you think I should play you can get in touch with the owner/promoter and persuade them that I would be good, no make that great and they should book me and pay me some money. You can direct them to this site if they want to hear what I sound like etc. Or email me with contact info and I’ll get in touch with them. I’m quite happy to come and play your local pub as long as I can afford to get there. And back.
The same sort of thing with radio play. Email or text the shows and request my music. If they don’t have copies of my CDs let me know to whom and where and I’ll send them. I’ll be adding contacts forf shows that may be appropriate on this page.
The important thing is that you can really help me by contacting the shows and venues as they do like to know what their customers/listeners want. If you read music magazines you can email them and ask them to feature/review me etc.
Any help you can give me would be most gratefully received and I can send you a photo or radio sessions cd, put you on a guest list or just buy you a drink. Who knows if I become a multi-millionaire I might even buy you 2 drinks.
