There’s a new song called Poplar Rd, with a middle 8 co written with Tao of Steve compadre, Steve D and lyrics by Shaun Belcher. Bit rough but what the heck, it’s very very cheap…..
We’ll probably debut this in Liverpool on 25th September at Mello Mello. Full details of that gig to follow.
Crackin summer eh?
My daughter is doing a project on the River Mersey and wanted a song to go with it. This was originally written for my song a week marathon but this is a new version recorded by me and my brother Chris.

I’ve a name for the new band. I say band but we’re a duo. Like Wham but not quite…. Steve Davies plays the piano and plays it extremely well so it’s a pleasure to do music with him.
We played with a Canadian band called Octoberman a few weeks ago and on introductions one of them, referring to our Steveness, mentioned the film The Tao Of Steve and so now we are.
Some really good gigs have been happening and some more to come. There’s one in Nottingham on 2nd July but I don’t have the details yet and one in Glossop on 17th July, a charity do, but again no details yet. (yes there are now)
If you friend me on Facebook (see top right) you’ll probably get details quicker as it’s easier to update there and you’ll also get to know what I had to eat and where I went for a walk and similiar Facebook nonsense.

My previous website has been hacked so I’m starting again. It will take a while to load up all the music and past bits and pieces as I’m kind of lazy and intermittently very busy.
I’ve been playing a gig or two with Steve Davies a pianoman and recorded one on my iPhone. I include it here for your listening pleasure. You can download it for free in any of a number of formats. I’ll be playing with Steve and probably Rae, a bassman, at the IPO Festival in Liverpool at the end of May. I’m also playing in Coniston at the Music With A View Festival but I think that might be all my own work… I’ll post on this very soon.
